The Rainbow Routes is hiring a full-time Executive Director! The Executive Director (ED) is an exciting and challenging position that provides:
Leadership in trail development
Advocacy of infrastructure and services required for sustainable mobility
Management of the organization’s operations
Coordination of Rainbow Routes’ programs in Greater Sudbury in accordance with the Strategic Direction set by the Board of Directors.

We are looking for an exceptional candidate who possesses the following skills and qualifications:
Knowledge or background in one or more areas of; natural resources, environmental studies, recreation, tourism or rural development, project management, civil construction or urban planning.
Demonstrated leadership ability with experience directing an organization.
Experience with not-for-profit organizations and volunteer board.
Knowledge of financial management including development and management of budgets.
Ability to liaise with government, corporations, funding agencies and other non-profit organizations.
Ability to think innovatively in promoting collaborations across programs and organizations.
Project management knowledge and experience.
Well-developed planning, organizational and problem solving skills.
Strong communication, facilitation, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
Ability to design and maintain effective systems, organize resources, establish priorities, manage time effectively and problem solve.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience with grant writing and public speaking.
French language speaking and writing skills are an asset.
Knowledge of volunteer sector issues.
Knowledge and experience in trail building.
Working knowledge of Microsoft programs.
Knowledge of Accounting Software programs
Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
Willing to work evenings and weekends occasionally for special events.
Ability to safely and successfully perform physical skills required to explore rough terrain during trail development.
Maintain current certificates/licenses:
A valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle is required.
A current First-Aid and CPR certificate is required.
Ontario Ministry of Labour Worker Health and Safety Awareness Certificate.
Ontario Ministry of Labour Supervisor Health and Safety Awareness Certificate.
WHMIS Training.
Current criminal records and vulnerable sector check.
Contract Date
Tuesday, September 8, 2015 – Friday, September 9, 2016
Salary
Salary range commences at $40 000
