CPAWS is seeking a volunteer to help lead and coordinate a charity fun-run we are organizing for Sept 19th in the Christie Lakes conservation area.

Our charity run is being produced in partnership with MEC.

Our lead volunteer will be responsible for:

Helping to organize a bbq lunch for run participants
Organize and coordinate other CPAWS volunteers to support race day activities/provide the lunch
Help promote the event in the local community
Solicit and gather in-kind donations from local businesses for the event (ie food, drinks, equipement)
Attend team conference calls every two weeks leading up to the event
Help promote our charity run at other MEC Burlington Store weekend events in Aug/Sept

This is an opportunity to be part of a really fun event.

We estimate this role will represent approximately 60 hours of work sprend across 6 weeks.
Approximately 8 hours per week in August
Approximately 12 hours per week in Sept (1-17)
and 16 hours (Sept 18-19)

An honorarium of $850.00 will be provided for this position.
