Emergency Response Coordinator – TRS Staffing Solutions

We are currently seeking a talented Emergency Response Coordinator (certified Level II Firefighter, trainer) for a position near Dawson Creek on rotation. You will be working for one of the world’s leading engineering, procurement and construction companies.

This role assumes overall responsibility for the timely reaction to humanitarian emergencies on the project site. The Emergency Response Coordinator directly reports to HSE Manager.

Duties:
Respond to emergencies under Fluor’s emergency unit.
Provide rapid needs assessments.
Overall responsibility for project ERP program coordination within and accountable to the managers.
Develop concept notes, proposals, reporting, mentoring and evaluation, accountability, etc.
Support and maintain systems to ensure all actions identified during planned inspections.
Develop and maintain Program wide risk assessment for all critical activities that may require High angle and confine space rescue.
Administer training schedule and record keeping systems; prepare and issue monthly safety performance reports to HSE Manager.
Coordinates disaster response/crisis management plans with HSE Manager.
Implements the site safety, security procedures and project work rules and plays an active role in the development of the safety culture on the project, making safety a natural part of all work performed.
Work with local and regional agencies in the area to coordinate ER resources
Establish and maintain the Incident Command System process for activation in the event of an emergency
Train senior management on their roles in Emergency Response situations
Maintain a high level of readiness and fitness for all ER team members.

Requirements:
N.F.P.A:
1021 Level II minimum, Level IV is preferred Fire Officer Professional Certification.
1041 Level II minimum, Level III is preferred Fire Service Instructor Certification.
1001 Level II Professional Firefighter Certification.
472 Technician level minimum, Command level is preferred Hazardous Material Responder Certification.
1006 Technician Level Certification (rope rescue, confined space rescue, vehicle rescue, preference for water, ice and machinery rescue).
1031 Fire Inspector/1035 Fire Educator Certification is preferred.
EMR/High Angle Rescue Certification.
Current registration with the British Columbia Emergency Medical Assistants Licensing Board (EMA).
Minimum ten to fifteen (10-15) years experience working in a similar role.
