Draftsperson / Office Administrator – Vancouver – Cleartech Consulting Ltd

Hours: 35 hours/week (to start)

We are a small engineering firm in east Vancouver looking for a full-time (starting at 35 hrs/wk ) draftsperson/office administrator to support engineering staff working in the wastewater treatment and disposal industry. The successful candidate will have strong AutoCAD skills and experience with office software such as MS Word and Excel.

Office administration duties will include responding to emails, filing, invoicing, basic accounts payable, and preparation of proposals and technical documentation. Drafting work will include preparation of site plans, system component layouts, tank, pump, and pipe details, etc. The candidate should have experience working with and modifying existing AutoCAD drawings as well as preparing professional drawings from scratch. The initial expectation is that the office administration and drafting work will be divided approximately 50/50 in terms of time spent on each task each day.

Applicants should have successfully completed drafting and AutoCAD courses at a post-secondary level, and will be asked to produce examples of their work. Strong communication skills in English are essential, and previous work experience in the engineering industry is a plus.
