District Coordinator – Canadian Cancer Society – Annapolis Valley

We are currently looking for a permanent, full-time, results focused District Coordinator working from a home office in the Valley Region of Nova Scotia.

Who you are:

You are an experienced professional, who actively contributes to the organization-wide philanthropic culture. You possess exceptional communication skills and have the ability to build and maintain relationships.  You are a fundraiser and have experience organizing large-scale community events. You are detail oriented, comfortable juggling multiple projects at once and pride yourself on your organizational abilities.

How you’ll contribute:

Increase/maximize existing organizational presence through relationship management and the implementation of annual campaigns (including sponsorship and ongoing major gift activities),  fundraising events, mission delivery and volunteer engagement activities
Responsible for building and maintaining relationships and partnerships that result in increased community presence, gifts/revenue to support our work in the fight for life
Identify new opportunities for increased financial growth, mission integration and community engagement
Recruit, support, coach and mentor Regional leadership volunteers

Related post secondary education and a minimum of 3 years of fund development and volunteer engagement experience are required. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is essential and familiarity with Raiser’s Edge database software would be considered an asset. You must have access to a vehicle, a valid driver’s license and be willing to work occasional weekends and evenings when necessary.
