The Director of Resource Development is responsible for leading the ongoing growth and development of the Land Trust with a focus on attracting, developing and sustaining the necessary resources required to execute the strategic plan.
You have a proven track record and previous experience in developing and implementing multi-faceted resource development and fundraising campaigns. Key responsibilities include: developing multiple funding sources to enable organizational sustainability; increasing the level of engagement and partnership with community organizations and key stakeholders who are working to restore and safeguard ecosystems; expanding the membership base, and increasing the number of Land Trust volunteers. This position has some involvement in supporting land protection activities.
You are a creative self-starter and leader who has ideally successfully designed and established a resource development campaign within the not-for-profit sector. Your strong background in communication, public relations, fundraising and community outreach are blended with excellent writing, computer and organizational skills. You have demonstrated ability in grant and proposal writing. Experience in or knowledge of the not-for-profit sector and land conservation is an asset. Previous management experience is also a key asset.
