The Town is currently seeking a key member of our Senior Leadership Team for the position of Director of Planning & Infrastructure. Reporting to the Town Manager, this permanent full time position will provide leadership and strategic direction, in the implementation of the Town’s planning, development control, infrastructure and operational goals consistent with the MGA and Uniquely Stony Plain the Town’s new Municipal Development Plan.
As Director you are a strategic thinker and problem solver with sound judgement. You have the ability to motivate, mentor, support and influence a diverse team of staff to create a high performance work environment. Your interpersonal and communication skills enable you to build trusted relationships at all levels throughout the organization.
Education:
Post-secondary degree in Planning recognized by the Canadian Institute of Planners and/or Engineering or related post-secondary degree;
Applied Land Use Planning Certificate
CLGM designation (preferred)
Experience:
Proven knowledge of the Municipal Government Act
A minimum of five years’ experience in a senior leadership role in at least one of the key municipal service areas is preferred
The Town offers an excellent benefit package including the Local Authorities Pension Plan, plus an extra option to participate in the Apex Supplementary Pension Plan. Based on a 35 hour work week, the salary range for this position is $104,539 – $134,148 (salary is negotiable within this range based on experience and qualifications).
