Reporting to the CAO

This EXCITING new position will provide leadership and vision for the Community Services Department and will assist the management team in advising the CAO in the overall planning, coordination and control of departmental activities.

Parks and Open Spaces
Social Programming and Social & Community Development
Community Planning and Development Services
Safety Codes Compliance
Cemetery and Golf Course
Economic Development, Tourism and Technology

Requirements:

Combination of Experience and Education in Economic Development, Urban Planning, Recreation Management, Social/Leisure Programming, Tourism, Historical Preservation and a Clear Understanding of Recreation Facility Operations
Exceptional Leadership Skills, with a Proven Track Record of Professional Success
Excellent Communication Skills; displayed through dealings with Citizens, Potential Clients, Staff members and the Council
Computer proficiency in Word, Excel and Power Point
Big Picture Mentality with a Desire for Continuous Learning
