The City of Regina is a growing, diverse and vibrant community with a population of over 230,000 and a combined annual operating and capital budget of over $500 million. Residents of Regina take pride in the city’s rich heritage which dates back to the early 1800’s. The skyline is constantly changing as new buildings are constructed. As one of Saskatchewan’s strongest economic regions and most liveable cities, Regina is a centre for institutions focusing on telecommunications, manufacturing, data management, software development, and other technological industries; agriculture and natural resources continue to play a strong part in the economy.

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Director Facilities Management Services is responsible for the overall leadership, management and direction of the corporation’s facility construction, renovation, maintenance and operations. You will lead these activities and act as a key contributor to the Corporate Services Leadership Team. Apply your expertise to and champion a number of key projects including an Asset Management Plan and a Facilities Master Plan to improve the long term effectiveness of the City’s programs and  services. You will ensure that facilities are maintained and operated cost effectively and in accordance with City standards.

Utilize your leadership, sense of urgency and good judgement to provide direction on the City’s complex facilities, energy and asset management issues. Build and execute strategies to optimize service delivery to client Divisions and to City Council and maintain productive working relationships with client groups. Develop and implement best practice performance benchmarking activities to demonstrate the effectiveness of results.
