Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Director Facilities Management Services is responsible for the overall leadership, management and direction of the corporation’s facility construction, renovation, maintenance and operations. You will lead these activities and act as a key contributor to the Corporate Services Leadership Team. Apply your expertise to and champion a number of key projects including an Asset Management Plan and a Facilities Master Plan to improve the long term effectiveness of the City’s programs and services. You will ensure that facilities are maintained and operated cost effectively and in accordance with City standards.
Utilize your leadership, sense of urgency and good judgement to provide direction on the City’s complex facilities, energy and asset management issues. Build and execute strategies to optimize service delivery to client Divisions and to City Council and maintain productive working relationships with client groups. Develop and implement best practice performance benchmarking activities to demonstrate the effectiveness of results.
A seasoned leader, ideally in facilities, project management and asset management, you have experience leading and building high performance teams. You possess the highest level of ethics, values and integrity and you are well known for your creative and collaborative nature and continuous improvement focus. You are politically astute and are comfortable working and collaborating across the organization as well as with Council. You have a history of inspiring others with enthusiasm for results and accountability.
