Development Manager – Halton Environmental Network

Key Responsibilities
Work with the fundraising consultant and implement a fundraising plan to ensure long-term sustainability and resilience funding for our organization.
Secure diverse funding.
Track and measure progress of funding plans and develop a donor and volunteer database to support and align efforts and work.
Identify and utilize fundraising and financial technology resources.
Support and communicate the delivery of environmental programming, focusing on capacity building and community action via Education, Outreach, and all HEN programming.
Implement actions and achieve the deliverables in current grant opportunities from the Ontario Trillium Foundation, with support from the Executive Director and other staff members at Halton Environmental Network.
Act as the public face and contact for all programs of Halton Environmental Network
Support other programs of the Halton Environmental Network or perform other duties, if required

Preferred Knowledge and Skills
Experienced and successful fundraiser
Experience in networking and building stakeholder relationships
Interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively with community stakeholders
Ability to work independently as well as in a team
Dedication and passion for climate action
Building stakeholder engagement strategies
Implementing new approaches for organizations to work together to meet the needs of community and secure funding and organizational resilience.
Experience in donor and volunteer database.
Good problem-solving skills and self-motivated, positive attitude a must
Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and occasional weekends for special events
Computer literate, experience with database, social media platforms, e-newsletters and/or websites
Basic or advanced knowledge in one or more of the following areas: climate mitigation and adaptation, green economy and environmental sustainability

Requirements
Legally entitled to work in Canada
Ability to work from home
Salary: 24$/hour + MERC’s at 20 hours/week
Contract duration: February – October , 2021
This position reports to the Executive Director of the Halton Environmental Network. Interview will be scheduled for February 1st . We thank all applicants for their interest.
