We are a well-established Halifax-based seafood processing and marketing company supplying domestic and export markets. We are seeking a Controller to complement our head office team. Working within a Microsoft Dynamics accounting system and reporting to the owners, your duties will include the following:
Oversee and Assist with Inventory, A/R, A/P
Reconcile inventory and maintain standard costs
Payroll
Bank reconciliations
Journal entries
Monthly internal financial statements
Foreign exchange
Yearend audit preparation
Monitor production costs
Qualifications include:
Relevant University degree
Accounting designation
Minimum 5 years accounting experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Good analytical skills
Attentive to detail
