We are currently seeking experienced Contracts Administrators. You will be working for one of the worlds’ leading Engineering, Procurement and Construction Companies on a variety of EPC projects. The positions will commence in the Calgary office with a focus on formation activities and possibly follow to the field location for post award administration.
Applicants should have experience working within contracts management and have a thorough understanding of the different types of contracts and pricing strategies. Excellent communication, formation, and negotiation skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment under tight deadlines are definite assets.
Responsibilities:
Interface with project team to develop contracting strategies and schedules.
Thorough pre-qualification and selection of bidders.
Development of RFP documents and coordination of necessary project review and approvals.
Manage the bidding process, including RFP explanation meetings, preparation of addenda and receipt of bids.
Manage and participate in the evaluation process and award recommendation.
Prepare the final contract document for execution.
Post award administration to ensure contractors perform in accordance with contract terms.
Interface with the project team to confirm overall project requirements are being achieved with respect to contract management.
Organize and document communications with contractors relating to change requests, back charges, contract modifications and notices.
Timely identification, tracking and processing of changes to contracts while reviewing for accuracy and negotiating best value for changes with contractors.
Review, action, and participate in resolution of contractor claims.
Process and verify contractor requests for progress payment, release of hold back and final payments.
Perform close out of contracts, including finalizing outstanding contract issues, invoices and contractor performance evaluations.
Basic Job Requirements:
Minimum of 6 years of related experience.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Procurement, Operations or another related field would be considered an asset.
Strong written and verbal skills along with the ability to communicate effectively to all stakeholders in a manner that is efficient, timely and consistent.
