Contract Administrator – Parkland County – Parkland County, AB

Parkland County has a Permanent, Full-time position available for a Contract Administrator. Under the direction of the Purchasing Coordinator, the Contract Administrator will provide contract administration services to client departments. Duties include preparing, reviewing and monitoring contracts as well as researching and establishing contract standards. This requires ensuring contracts comply with all levels of regulations, obligations and County policies, administrative directives and procedures.

Qualifications:

Paralegal training or certification from a recognized university, community college, or accredited educational institution. A business administration degree or diploma supplemented by additional training in contract law and supply chain management will be considered.
Five (5) years’ experience as a Paralegal, or in a contract administration and procurement role.
Experience in the public sector is an asset.
Commissioner for Oaths is an asset.
Strong contract drafting and review skills are required as well as a thorough understanding of the legal framework for contracts including clauses or language that is commonly used.
Possession of a valid Alberta Driver’s License and satisfactory driving is record is required.

Rate of Pay: $70,750 – $88,420 per annum
Hours of Work: 7 hours/day; 35 hours/week
