Sustainable Development Advisor

At the SADC de Papineau-Collines, your mission of promoting Sustainable Development (SD) and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) with organizations in the territory will be an active mission. Your role will be to convince and demonstrate to the decision-makers in our ecosystem of varied clients that improving their environmental and societal contribution is a real lever for performance and competitiveness.

Who we are ?
For more than 35 years, we have been part of the large family of the Réseau des SADC et CAE, which brings together 66 teams of professionals across Quebec, all driven by the development of the economy of our rural regions. We work in the field and have the knowledge, contacts and strategic expertise to meet the real challenges facing businesses and organizations in the region.
Today, our organization wishes to go even further, by raising awareness, supporting and initiating structuring projects around sustainable practices that become essential to the growth of a healthy rural economy in the long term.
Location
Buckingham office with regular trips around the country
Conditions of employment
Permanent full-time position, flexible schedule and possibility of working remotely
Salary compensation according to the scale in force $ 47,000 to $ 66,000
Your main responsibilities will be:
Plan and manage the implementation of SD projects included in the SADC Annual Action Plan
Advise and support customers in integrating SD practices and CSR approaches into their business strategy
Conduct field visits to assess customer needs, carry out diagnostics, recommend, develop and implement SD action plans
Participate in major partnership projects within the Réseau des SADC et CAE du Québec
Support local initiatives and ensure fruitful collaboration with our regional economic development partners

To be successful in this position, you must be:

Bilingual
With excellent customer contact and a sense of business development
Endowed with great autonomy and ease to work on several projects simultaneously
Ability to plan and foster innovation and change
Committed to local economic development and issues related to rurality
This challenge is to be grasped if you have:
A university degree in sustainable development, regional development, economics, commerce, or business administration
At least 2 years of experience in business support or business development
Proven knowledge of the SD and CSR environment
