Key Responsibilities:
Assist with updating and maintaining EcoSuperior’s social media presence and digital marketing, developing a marketing/content social media calendar, and brainstorm ideas for new and innovative campaigns;
Monitor social media and website analytics on a weekly/monthly basis, provide reports, and make recommendations to increase engagement;
Develop and write a Communications Plan for EcoSuperior, including key messages, and strategies, aligned with our mission, programs and EcoSuperior brand;
Assist in planning, writing and managing monthly eNewsletters;
Draft, distribute and pitch news releases, media alerts, and other stories;
Assist with the design of flyers, graphics, e-vites and other marketing material for major events hosted by EcoSuperior;
Assist with updating the website and, our re-branding (ready to be launched in the coming weeks);
Assist with outreach to the community partners and organizations, public and funders, consistent with our mission: to build a healthy future for people and the planet;
Collaborate with staff on new ideas, directions, and venues for marketing and communications;
Assist with planning and executing events and tradeshows;
Track and report on annual advertising and marketing budgets;
Assist with product/program and branding launch activities;
Assisting with other duties, as required, as part of a team dedicated to a diversity of environmental programming;
Candidate Requirements:
Willing to embrace the Mission of EcoSuperior, and contribute to a healthy workplace and team dynamic;
Must be a graduate of a post-secondary degree or diploma program, who has graduated within the last three years from an accredited college or university — preferably in a related field, such as, but not limited to: Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Advertising, Public Relations, Event Planning, English;
Solid writing skills, as well as knowledge of, comfort and experience with, graphic design, marketing, and social media;
This position must be a first full-time employment in the candidate’s field of study;
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada;
Note: candidates are only eligible to participate in the NOHFC internship program one time;
Location:
Workplace location for this position is normally located at: 562 Red River Rd, Thunder Bay, Ontario. However, while respecting guidelines at all levels of government regarding health and safety with Covid19, work may temporarily take place off-site (remotely, at your own place of residence) for the foreseeable future, until restrictions are lifted.
