City Manager – City of Warman

The City of Warman – a vibrant, innovative and progressive community of over 10,000 residents located about 14 km’s north of the City of Saskatoon – is seeking a dedicated City Manager who possesses strong management and communication skills.

Reporting directly to the Mayor and Council, the City Manager assumes responsibility for the administration of all City operations, ensuring that policies programs and the strategic direction of the municipality are implemented and delivered. The City Manager reports to Council on the operations and affairs of the Municipality and performs all duties of the position as assigned by Council.

The ideal candidate will possess a post-secondary degree in Public Administration, Business Administration or Commerce. A combination of relevant education and senior leadership experience will also be considered. This includes:
Five to ten years of senior management administration and operational experience within a municipal or government environment.
Extensive knowledge of the functions, principals and policies of municipal governmental administration and operations.
A thorough understanding of the budgeting process.
Extensive knowledge of corporate administrative, human resources and financial procedures and practices.
Experience in strategic planning, organizational development and team building.
