With a national office located in Ottawa, St. John Ambulance  operates on a federated business model  with regional councils across the country. The Nova Scotia/PEI Council is one of three councils in Atlantic Canada.

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the CEO is responsible for providing strategic leadership  through operations, financial administration, human resources, business development, community service programs, and government relationships. With the support of staff and committed volunteers, the CEO will be challenged to foster long term organizational growth to ensure the continuing support of charitable community service programs through business development initiatives, operational efficiencies and fundraising programs. The CEO will build upon existing programs and implement new programs to increase revenues in accordance with St. John Ambulance mission, vision and values.

As the ideal candidate, you have proven senior leadership experience with a passion for community service. A true leader, you have the ability motivate staff and volunteers, while acting as the face of the organization. You are a strategic thinker with an eye for identifying growth opportunities. You possess superior communication and interpersonal skills which is evident in your experience developing and maintaining effective stakeholder relations.
