The Role:
You are passionate about public service, community building, and working collaboratively. You will report directly to Mayor and Council and be responsible for managing the City’s day-to-day activities, following the Community Charter and related legislation. You have solid time management skills that ensure programs and services are carried out efficiently; and the people management skills to build, inspire, and motivate strong teams. You will liaise with stakeholders, other municipalities, all levels of government, and First Nations on critical projects affecting the city. You will also ensure that significant policies and initiatives are effectively communicated to the broader community.
The Requirements:
A minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in management (public or private sector).
Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
Strong understanding of strategic planning, business plans, and budgeting.
Knowledge and experience in matters concerning relevant local, provincial, and federal legislation.
