WorkSafeNB is accepting applications for a permanent position of case manager in Grand Falls, New Brunswick.
Reporting to the regional director, the Case Manager will manage the medical rehabilitation plan for injured workers while retaining overall accountability for the direction, integration, implementation and evaluation of case management claims. Responsibilities include: verifying and authorizing cost allocations; calculating benefits; reviewing decisions based on new information; and co-ordinating efforts of the employer and service providers in the return-to-work plans, all in according with established policies, procedures and directives.
The candidate should possess a university degree and must have three years’ related experience, including some experience working in a multi-disciplinary team or leading a project/program. The candidate must also have experience in medical management or disability management. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. The candidate must demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to work effectively in a team environment and the ability to work with MS Office software, particularly MS Word. Knowledge of the claims management process would be an asset and some travel may be required.
