GREEN COMMUNITIES CANADA
— BOARD MEMBER
You care about the environment. You are concerned about climate change, the continued availability of clean water and the integrity of our ecosystems. You recognize and value our connection to our natural surroundings as an extension of our health: physical, economic and social. Importantly, you would like to be involved with a creative, positive and growing organization that addresses those values through practical and engaging solutions.
Green Communities Canada (GCC) is looking for board members who share our vision and excitement, and who recognize the opportunities and importance of this unique challenge.
Founded in 1995, we work with member organizations and partners to deliver innovative and practical community programs, with big wins for environment, health, economy, and infrastructure. Our diverse programs address home energy efficiency, green infrastructure approaches to stormwater management, active school travel, and more. Our members deliver dozens of other dynamic programs of their own.
GCC is a national non-profit, based in Peterborough, Ontario, with staff in Ottawa, Toronto, and Hamilton. We have a 12-member national board of directors, and 15 member organizations across the country.
Two Board positions are currently open. We welcome applicants at all career stages (beginning, mid-career, and retirees), with particular expertise in Human Resources, Law, and/or Revenue Development.
