Store Manager required for Bike Doctor

We are looking for a Store Manager to lead our fantastic team.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver a memorable customer experience at Bike Doctor
Lead as a role model: hire, train, coach, and support employees to provide customers with an outstanding shopping experience every time they enter Bike Doctor
Maintain Bike Doctor philosophy, including merchandising, displays, signage, dress code and customer service standards
Participate in the development of store goals
Hit store revenue targets; monitor weekly/monthly budget reports
Continuously review store operations to lower costs, increase efficiency and to improve customer satisfaction and employee morale
Maintain expert knowledge of Bicycle industry; increase knowledge of the industry by reading, attending industry seminars, keeping abreast of trends with particular focus on increasing growth of new riders and commuter cyclists.
Resolve customer service problems escalated to the Store Manager level and train supervisors to improve their ability to monitor and manage customer service issues. Organize staff to monitor and respond online to customer service needs.
Provide opportunities for employees to learn to work together as a team.
Act as a resource to all employees in performing their jobs.
Recruit employees, manage performance and initiate disciplinary action, if necessary.
Develop and train employees; provide motivation and rewards.
Participate in store Marketing plan and identify local promotional opportunities and community involvement
Make purchase/buying recommendations to inventory manager and owner and ensure that margins are being maintained
Ensure security of cash system and make sure daily deposits have been made
Oversee service dept. and ensure that procedures are well trained and

Oversee shipping/receiving and inventory procedures

Requirements:

Ideally, three to five (3-5) years of supervisory or management experience in a retail environment.
Post secondary education and relevant courses in management & supervision would be ideal
Experience managing an entire store and, carrying out all personnel responsibilities such as hiring, disciplinary action and performance reviews.
Strong understanding of ordering, purchasing, merchandizing in a retail setting.
Demonstrable experience in growing revenue, driving sales, and managing financials (i.e. cost of goods, margins)
Knowledge of the Bike industry a strong asset
Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong understanding of general management principles.

Technical Skills

Very strong computer skills required
Intermediate use of Microsoft Office, Word and Outlook,
Intermediate to Advanced use of Excel,
In-depth experience with Internet (Web and Email)
