Explore this exciting full-time job opportunity to work with animals and the Bylaw and Animal Control team. This position is responsible for field and administrative work to enforce the Animal Control Bylaw. In addition to assisting the Animal Control Shelter Coordinator with the daily operation of the Municipal Pound, the Animal Control Officer assists the Bylaw Enforcement Officer with enforcing other bylaws as necessary and as directed.

The successful candidate will be able to handle animals, thorough knowledge of the District’s Animal Control Bylaw and other related legislation and regulations, have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to work independently with excellent problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
