The Department of Social Development is seeking an individual to join the Administrative Services team as an Administrative Services Officer in the Lamèque office.
As a member of the Administrative Services team, the successful candidate will be responsible to provide a variety of administrative support services to the general public and all levels of staff within the office. Responsibilities include providing general information, responding to a wide range of routine and complex telephone inquiries and/or walk-in clients, evaluating inquiries, and directing clients and/or the general public to the appropriate employee or resource. Work will also include: filing, photocopying, handling of incoming and outgoing mail, receiving payments, performing data entry, preparation of correspondence, word processing, and maintaining a supplies inventory. Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite is required. Other duties may be assigned as required.
Essential Qualifications: High school diploma or GED supplemented by successful completion of a one (1) year post-secondary diploma and three (3) years related administrative work experience OR High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of four (4) years related administrative work experience.
Written and spoken competence in French is required. Please state your language capability.

Salary: $35,412 to $42,978 per annum
