The Municipality of the District of Lunenburg, located along Nova Scotia’s beautiful South Shore, is seeking an Active Living Coordinator for a one year term position.

This is a professional position with the primary responsibility for implementing the Municipality of the District of Lunenburg’s comprehensive Active Living Strategy under the supervision of the Director of Recreation Services.  The incumbent will work closely with the Active Living Advisory Committee, other internal municipal departments, and various other municipal/town departments and community partners.

Qualifications:  University degree in Recreation, Planning, Health Promotion, Community Development or equivalent experience. The candidate should possess abilities in community development, leadership, written and verbal communications, strategic and program planning, administration, research, evaluation, facilitation, public relations and marketing.

The ideal candidate will be inspired to engage the community in conversation and take action on how to make a difference and will challenge people to be part of that difference.  This person will be someone who can think on a high level, and act on a personal level.
