Accommodation Service Manager – Maintenance – Banff – Douglas Fir Resort & Chalets

Job duties:
Develop, implement and evaluate policies and procedures for maintenance operation or establishment;
Lead the department and supervise general maintenance and repairs in a resort hotel;
Direct and monitor routine maintenance jobs and repairs for guest rooms and public areas, including heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, swimming pool and electrical systems;
Develop procedures for preventative maintenance;
Manage expenses, supplies and inventory;
Participate in preparation of budgets;
Recruit and supervise staff, oversee training and set work schedules;
Communicate with guests in connection with use of the facility and maintenance concerns;
Respond to inquiries or complaints and resolve problems;
May perform the duties that are supervised by the Accommodation Service Manager – Maintenance;

Vacancy:
One (1)

Terms of employment:
Permanent and full-time (40 hours per week); must be available for all shifts; 3 month probation; RCMP clearance required

Salary:
Annual salary of $41,996

Skill requirements:
Education – A university degree or college diploma is required; and must be fluent in English.

Work experience – A minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Hotel Maintenance Manager within a medium-large hotel; experience in HVAC systems, pool maintenance, electrical and plumbing is required; a Pool and Spa Operation Certificate is preferred; must have strong communication skills.
