Manager, Advocacy and Policy

(One year term contract – in Ottawa or Vancouver)

CaGBC is seeking a professional with an exceptional record as an advocate, relationship builder and skilled communicator on the built environment and environmental issues to fill a one year maternity leave vacancy. The ideal candidate will be a master of engaging constituencies ranging from senior policy makers and government staff to executives and stakeholders in corporations and industry across Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

Execute a national advocacy strategy advancing green building in government and industry;
Analyze green building policies and programs and develop policy recommendations for government and industry
Build coalitions and cultivate relationships with stakeholders and supporters
Engage supporters and stakeholders;
Manage extensive research projects and efforts to promote and support Canadian green building capabilities globally.

Education/Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree in a related field and minimum five years of experience in advocacy, public policy, and the environment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
