A newly formed Law Firm is looking for an experienced Legal Assistant to work with a senior Partner with a busy practice in employment and labour law.
You will help the Partner manage his busy practice by:
Preparing correspondence, reports and other documents.
Managing and responding to emails and phone calls.
Scheduling appointments, mediations, arbitrations and discoveries.
Coordinating client activities (answering phones, greeting clients and other guests, booking meeting rooms and handling routine calls).
Organizing and maintaining client files.
The ideal candidate should have:
A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a legal assistant.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word. Experience with Document Management is an asset.
Excellent transcription and proof reading skills.
Be highly organized and detail oriented.
Be able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Have exceptional interpersonal, communication and client service skills.
Have a flair for problem solving and creativity.
Be professional and discreet.
Exhibit common sense, patience and, a sense of teamwork.
