Bylaw Enforcement Coordinator
We are seeking applications for the full-time position of Bylaw Enforcement Coordinator.  Reporting to the Chief Bylaw Enforcement Officer, this position provides supervisory and administrative support services for the Dog Control Service.  The position is the primary contact for the public for all dog enquiries and complaints.  Working at the Dog Pound this position collects precise information of sometimes unpredictable situations, providing detailed information to animal control officers.  Assessing and ensuring the safety of the public and officers is of primary importance.

To be successful in this role, the incumbent must have a minimum of four years’ experience in a related field including supervising.  A diploma in Communications or Business (or equivalent experience) and Bylaw Level II certification is required.  Emergency dispatching experience would be beneficial as you will be directing animal control officers in the field.  You must have strong communication, interpersonal, and problem solving skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.  This position requires a self-motivated, independent individual with excellent organization skills. You must be proficient in MS Office software.  Database experience and knowledge of Vadim software would be ideal.  This position requires a Criminal Record Check and valid BC Driver’s License with record of safe driving.
