Traffic and Street Bylaw Enforcement Officer – City of Penticton – Penticton, BC

The Bylaw Department of the City of Penticton has a vacancy for a Traffic & Street Bylaw Enforcement Officer on a relief, on call basis.

COMPETENCIES:

Completion of the Bylaw I course through the Justice Institute and some experience in a regulatory capacity would be preferred
Training and experience in traffic control, knowledge of City layout and bylaws and some understanding of adjudication/court procedures with respect to traffic & bylaw regulations
Effective in conflict resolution
Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
Ability to obtain and maintain RCMP security clearance
Mechanical aptitude
Computer literacy
Valid B.C. Driver’s Licence – Class 5
Good health, stamina, friendly, energetic and able to patrol on foot

Hours of work will generally be Monday to Friday, but may include evenings and weekends as required.
