The Town of White City, one of the fastest growing communities in Saskatchewan just outside of the capital city of Regina, is seeking a qualified and experienced Town Manager.
If you are interested in a position that will provide invaluable municipal administration experience and growth opportunity, outline in writing your knowledge and experience in:
Strategic and long-range municipal planning, organizational development and growth;
Effectively responding to community expectations in a changing environment;
Land use and infrastructure planning and development;
Municipal management, administrative and financial systems;
Regional partnerships, collaboration and cooperation, community development and intergovernmental relations; and,
The Municipalities Act and municipal management, governance, and programs.
And the ability to:
Maintain positive relations with staff and stakeholders, and effective collaboration;
Conduct self in a consistently professional manner so as to effectively carry out duties and responsibilities under The Municipalities Act, and as directed by Town Council in its bylaws and resolutions; and,
Effectively access external professionals and consultants as required, for expert advice and services to ensure the proper conduct of public business.
Qualified candidates would typically hold a degree or accreditation in public administration, urban planning, or a related field and have at least five years of experience in municipal government administration. An equivalent combination of experience and training will also be considered.
