Job Description :

The Townsite of Redwood Meadows, located near Bragg Creek, is a community with a population of about 1,000. Our community is unique in that it is a partially independent municipality, functioning similar to an incorporated Alberta town, but is different due to the fact that it is on leased land located within the Tsuu T’ina First Nation.

Redwood Meadows is seeking a Town Manager under the direction of the Mayor and Town Council.

Town services include water, sewer, garbage pickup, parks and recreation, public works, and a well equipped volunteer fire department.

The Town Manager will be the leader of the Town’s management team, and will work closely with the Town Council in policy implementation and financial management of the Townsite.

The ideal candidate should possess demonstrated management and leadership skills, excellent communications skills, business development skills, ability to manage multiple short-term projects, knowledge and experience working with First Nations, relationship building skills, and an ability to work with multiple stakeholders. Candidate should also be familiar with municipal infrastructure and be committed to the Town’s goals and objectives.

Post secondary degree in related field and previous work experience an asset.

Salary is negotiable depending on qualifications.
