Position Overview:
This is the perfect job for someone who strives to make meaningful and direct impacts in the community through the use of their training, mentorship, leadership and relationship building skills. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with many talented people within our organization and committed stakeholders in the community to develop and deliver creative aquatics programs, services and events that serve to enhance citizens’ quality of life and create a healthy, sustainable, inclusive community. This position will provide you with autonomy, as you will be required to take the lead on a diversity of training, program development and operations with minimal supervision. In this role you will have the opportunity to further develop your passion for leadership and training as your foremost responsibilities will entail the recruitment, training and supervision of the large team of professional and dedicated aquatics staff who are so crucial to the resounding success of our world class aquatics and recreation facilities at Elevation Place. Attributes:
You are an outgoing, engaged and dedicated leader with the ability to cultivate meaningful and collaborative relationships inside and outside your team. To be the best fit for this position, you have a keen interest and some previous experience with aquatics programming, budget management, leadership and communication. With 4+ years of experience in the aquatics industry, including leadership and supervisory experience, this position will allow you to further develop your skills in recreation programming, operations and strategic leadership in our world class Elevation Place facility. As a multi-talented recreation and aquatics professional, you have developed excellent time management and administration skills and are not afraid to tackle new projects or ways of doing things. Post-Secondary education in a related field such as; Recreation, Kinesiology, Physical Education is an asset. Current certifications in NLS, Red Cross and Lifesaving Instructor, Standard First Aid/CPR/AED, Bronze Cross Examiner and WSI will help you to be successful in this role!
