The City of Revelstoke is seeking an enthusiastic, team oriented professional for the position of Senior Building and Development Officer.  Reporting to the Manager of Development Services, as the Chief Building Official you will be responsible for monitoring, coordinating and administering the City’s Building Inspection functions and supporting municipal planning applications policies and procedures.

We are looking for a focused individual excited about becoming a key member of the Development Services team, candidates ideally offer the following:

Completion of Senior Secondary School or its equivalent. Supplemented by specific training from a Community College, Technical School or University.
A minimum of two years construction and/or carpentry experience.
Experience in a municipal planning environment.
Computer training in word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software.
Possession of a valid B.C. Class 5 Driver’s License.
Level II Certificate issued by the B.O.A.B.C.
Level I Certificate issued by the P.O.A.B.C.
