The Community Government of Behchoko requires a Senior Administrative Officer who reports to the Chief and Council and is responsible for the management of the community government.
Qualifications:
A recognized diploma or degree in Business Administration, Financial Management, Management Studies, Municipal Administration or equivalent
Experience in budgeting, financial management and human resource
A minimum of five years of successful experience as a municipal or town administrator
Proven and effective leadership record
Career history of stable employment
Requirements:
Familiar with applicable legislation
Familiar with computerized accounting
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work in a cross-cultural setting
Fluency in both English and Tlicho language would be an asset
Must be bondable and submit to a criminal records check as a prerequisite
Experience in municipal operations, community recreation, education, business management, human resources and community governance would be an asset.
The Community Government of Behchoko offers a competitive salary based upon qualifications. The compensation package for this position includes benefits and allowances.
Competition will be open until a reliable candidate is selected. The successful applicant will be offered a two year term with the potential of term extension.
