Records and FOIPPA Administrator
We are looking for a smart, dynamic, high energy individual who is excited about becoming a key member of our fast paced and changing Corporate Office team.
Reporting to the Manager of Corporate Office & Lands, the Records and FOIPPA Administrator will be responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining the corporate records management program and the freedom of information and privacy protection function for the City.
The incumbent will be involved in developing and implementing project management work plans; interpreting and analyzing legislation; developing corporate-wide policies and procedures; providing strategic direction; assisting and training all departments on an ongoing basis; and championing records management and FOIPPA across the municipality.

Sound ability in planning, developing, implementing and managing complex projects and ongoing initiatives;
Ability to thoroughly conduct research from a variety of sources, evaluate processes, systems and procedures, and recommend changes and enhancements;
Ability to develop relevant educational materials and provide training, advice and assistance to others;
Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and perform duties under minimal supervision and direction, while achieving a high degree of accuracy and efficiency;
Strong computer skills including knowledge of records management software;
Ability to handle highly sensitive information and respond with tact and diplomacy;
A positive attitude and the ability and desire to learn and grow to best meet the needs of this challenging role.
Requirements for this position include a Master’s Degree in Library and Information Studies, Information Management, Archival Studies, Business or Public Administration, three to five years of records management experience, and extensive knowledge and experience working with the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FOIPPA).
The City offers a comprehensive benefit package and the opportunity to challenge your expertise within an evolving, growing community. The salary range for this unionized 35-hour per week position is between $75,000 and $86,000 annually.
