We are currently seeking the right person to fill the position of Police Municipal Employee Support Supervisor in our RCMP Department. This position is responsible to the Police Municipal Employee Superintendent for the management and direct supervision of three coordinator positions which includes providing input to the Police Municipal Employee Superintendent relating to operational requests for equipment, furniture, personnel, and emerging needs for budget preparation. As a CPIC manager, this position ensures ongoing audits for the detachment relating to quality assurance on computer systems are completed. Other duties include developing and maintaining ongoing safety programs for the detachment while ensuring the continuance of the Safety Committee and ongoing inspections and assisting in identifying and arranging training needs.
The successful candidate will have:
Grade 12 plus at least one-year secondary education at a recognized Technical institute, University or college in a related field. Must have successfully completed PROS User Course and Record Managers Course and to successfully complete CPIC User Course and become a CIIDS trainer. Equivalent education may be considered.
Minimum five years experience in a police office, with a strong knowledge of an office management.
Pass stringent RCMP Enhanced Operation Security Clearance Level (Treasury Board Guidelines)
Must possess a Management Skills for Supervisors certificate or equivalent.
Completion of advanced Management for Supervisors preferred.
Proven ability to coordinate, mentor, develop, and motivate staff or work groups. Must possess problem solving and issues management strengths, display organizational skill in co-ordinating multiple activities, and be able to lead by example. Must possess good time management skills.
Display strong written and oral communication and interaction skills including exceptional listening skills. Be able to respond courteously and professionally in resolving conflict situations
Display strong planning and organizational skills in co-ordinating multiple activities to accomplish goals and using resources effectively and efficiently.
