This vacancy is available for students enrolled in a full time
post-secondary education program.
The Occupational Health and Safety Division is seeking an enthusiastic OH&S Student to assist in a variety of projects which include administering quantitative respirator fit-testing for staff and providing related training sessions; conducting noise level surveys, air monitoring, evaluating job-specific risk assessments and assisting with the implementation of audit recommendations. Requirements include completion of Grade 12 or equivalent plus one year of post-secondary education in Occupational Health and Safety; enrolment in a full time post-secondary education program; valid B.C. Class 5 Driver’s Licence and one month related experience. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
This is a C.U.P.E. Local 2011 position with a wage of $24.78 per hour plus 13% in lieu of benefits. Job description and competition information can be found at www.saanich.ca.
