Reporting to the Director of Engineering, Parks and Environment, the successful applicant will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the Parks Operations Division which includes the vision, planning and directing of construction, maintenance, repair and landscaping of parks buildings, facilities and playgrounds.  The ideal candidate will have experience with safety, workplace procedures and parks infrastructure management; a proven record managing in a unionized environment; and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.  We are seeking a forward-thinking individual who is responsive to the public, has strong planning, budgetary and financial management skills; and construction and maintenance experience in municipal parks operations or a similar environment.  Experience with MicroSoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) is required.  Details of the position and requirements can be found in the job description at the following link:  www.city.langley.bc.ca

Qualifications for this position include a University degree or diploma in a related program and a minimum of five years’ related experience, preferably in a municipal environment.
