General Manager, Community and
Protective Services
We are growing!! As Canada’s 7th fastest growing community, ideally situated 3.5 km south of the City of Edmonton boundary on 50th Street, the Town of Beaumont is recruiting for the challenging position of General Manager (GM), Community and Protective Services.
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, positive individual to serve the community as our GM, Community and Protective Services. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, direction, and control of services provided by the Town’s Community and Protective Services department, which provides services in the following areas: Fire Services; Municipal Enforcement Services; Family and Community Support Services; Child Care Services and Recreation, Parks and Culture Services.
As one of the General Managers, reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), you are an integral part of the Leadership Team, which establishes, promotes and models the corporate values.
Candidate Profile:
You are an exceptional leader with a strong commitment to service delivery. You bring with you a proven track record of providing actionable solutions achieved by using a strong administrative background, extensive experience as a senior leader and broad business
knowledge. You are a strong team player who can create and maintain effective partnerships with other management team members, staff, elected officials and external stakeholders. You will promote cross-functional collaboration. You work well under pressure with a variety of competing priorities in a growing community, across a multitude of functional areas.
You possess strong organizational and leadership skills necessary to promote ideas and effect change throughout the organization. An open, objective and inclusive approach to problem solving and decision-making is required.
Minimum Qualifications Required:
The successful candidate will hold, at a minimum, an undergraduate degree in recreation/public/business administration or related discipline with extensive related progressive experience. Experience in a public sector organization is an asset.
