We are currently seeking the right person to fill the position of the Environmental Services Manager. This position is responsible for employee supervision and leadership of the financial, technical, and operational requirements; program development and direction; and management, maintenance and operation of the following areas:

Wastewater Treatment Plant and wastewater and storm water collection systems.
Water Treatment Plant and water distribution system.
Collection of solid waste and recyclables and the disposal of solid waste.
Water, Wastewater and Waste Management utilities to ensure that rates are adequate and long-range technical and financial plans are in place.
Environmental Initiatives to meet goals of the Environmental Master Plan.
Liaison for The City’s regional water service stakeholders.

As our preferred candidate you will have:

University degree; preference will be given to those with a University degree in Civil Engineering and membership in APEGA.
Seven years of directly related experience in municipal environments, including progressively more responsible duties and supervision of others.
Thorough knowledge of the principles and practices of municipal and environmental engineering.
Considerable knowledge of recent developments, current literature, and sources of information related to municipal and environmental engineering.
Strong negotiation skills.
