Reporting directly to the Commissioner, Community & Fire Services, you will lead a broad portfolio comprising Parks and Forestry, Roads, Fleet and Traffic Operations. Your role will include guiding the development and implementation of best practice operational strategies, delivering innovative solutions to improve the overall effectiveness of service delivery and acting as a change leader to introduce new business models. Comfortable leading a talented workforce, you will work closely with your team to inspire innovative approaches, enhance service delivery models, streamline processes and leverage technology to achieve customer service excellence and to maximize value for tax dollar.

Broad and senior level experience in a complex organization with diverse stakeholders, preferably in the municipal arena, is a must. Used to meeting high expectations, you are well known as a politically astute and innovative leader who is comfortable working with community groups and politicians. Experience in either the public or private sectors with a priority on those with significant experience in the municipal sector and related agencies.
