Director of Infrastructure and Parks
The position of Director of Infrastructure and Parks is a challenging career opportunity for a suitable qualified candidate early in their career. The position is responsible and accountable for the maintenance and asset management of a challenging public works operation as well as the leadership needs of a diverse workplace, and a multi-talented workforce.
Reporting to the CAO, the Director will effectively lead, manage and monitor the department’s performance, operating and capital budgets; develop and implement department policies and procedures; and establish, monitor and nurture good working relationships with all stakeholders with the Public Works team. A broad and challenging range of duties will add variety to the job and allow the incumbent to be creative and innovative.
The successful applicant will have a municipal public works background and be a seasoned supervisor and leader. The applicant will also possess a diploma in Civil Engineering Technology, be eligible for registration with the Applied Science Technologists and Technicians of BC. EOCP certifications in water and waste water management would be an asset.
