The Town of Hay River is seeking a Director of Corporate Services to join its Management Team. The Director is responsible for the effective operation and management of the corporate services functions of the Town with a strong orientation towards service to both external and internal stakeholders. Aspects of the job include comptrollership, budgeting, reporting, analysis, property & risk management, information technology, human resources, land administration, and general administration.

Qualifications include:

Degree in a related field, such as Business Administration, Accounting, or Municipal Finance, complemented with a professional accounting designation (e.g. CMA, CGA or CA)
Three years at a supervisory level in a computerized accounting environment
Supervisory skills and strong leadership abilities
Proficient organizational skills in scheduling work and managing outside consultants
Knowledge of Territorial regulations and Municipal by-laws relating to Finance
Previous Municipal experience would be viewed as an asset.
