The City of Regina is a growing, diverse and vibrant community with a population of over 230,000 and a combined annual operating and capital budget of over $500 million. As one of Saskatchewan’s strongest economic regions and most liveable cities, Regina is a dynamic centre for institutions focusing on telecommunications, manufacturing, data management, software development, and other technological industries; agriculture and natural resources continue to play a strong part in the economy.

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Director Facilities Management Services is a key contributor to the Corporate Services Leadership Team. This position is responsible for the overall leadership, management and direction of the facility construction, renovation, maintenance and operation functions. The position requires a person who can contribute experience and insights to a number of key projects including a corporate Asset Management framework and a Facilities Master Plan. A key objective is to produce long term plans that sufficiently and affordably address the City’s facilities needs for the next decade.

You will develop measurable and financially responsible plans that introduce leading practices into the overall management of City facilities. Utilize your leadership, sense of urgency and good judgement to provide direction on the City’s complex facilities, energy and asset management issues. Build and execute strategies to optimize service delivery to client Divisions and to City Council and maintain productive working relationships with client groups. Develop and implement performance benchmarking activities to build trust and confidence in the Department’s work with the public, Council and employees.

A seasoned leader, ideally in facilities, project management and asset management, you have experience leading and building high performance teams. You possess the highest level of ethics, values and integrity and you are well known for your creative and collaborative nature and continuous improvement focus. You are politically astute and are comfortable working and collaborating across the organization as well as with Council. You have a history of inspiring others with enthusiasm for results and accountability.
