The Saanich Police Department is seeking a motivated, qualified and experienced individual to perform specialized duties within the Records Section of the Administration Division. The primary responsibility for this position is to ensure that all documents designated for the Court System are properly and uniformly prepared and processed according to the required standard. Other responsibilities include the reading, classifying and management of case files; statistical recording; liaison with Provincial Courts, Crown Counsel and Witness Management Offices; the preparation and maintenance of training manuals and guides for the completion of court documents. Requirements include: completion of Grade 12; 5 years experience in a police environment with investigative experience including 6 months clerical experience in a computerized environment; completion of RMS and JUSTIN training and any other in-service courses as required; obtain Special Municipal Constable status; take and adhere to Oath of Allegiance and Oath of Office as provided in the Police Act of B.C.; possess a valid Class 5 B.C. Driver’s Licence; pass and maintain the required enhanced reliability security clearance and provide fingerprint samples to be hired.
