The Village of Cumberland Recreation Department is seeking a contract climbing wall supervisor who will assist with the overall safety, organization, and quality of the rock wall program.
Responsibilities
Provide a safe, clean and organized rock wall area
Create an educational, safe, and inviting experience for all participants
Provide training and guidance to climbing wall attendants
Change climbing routes as required
Supervise climbers, enforce rules, belay climbers, teach belay techniques, and provide climbing instruction (youth climbing team)
Inspect and maintain equipment inventory
Experience and Qualifications
ACMG Level 1 Climbing Gym Instructor (or to be acquired within the first 90 days)
Experience belaying and a high level of climbing ability and knowledge
Experience working with kids and large groups
Standard First Aid and CPR-C & AED
Clear and current criminal record check
Must be available to work all or part of Wednesday afternoons, Friday evenings, Saturdays and Sundays between September and May
Wage is $15/hour
