Permanent Full Time
8 hour shifts, Sunday to Saturday – 0700 hours to 2400 hours (40 hours per week).

The incumbent enforces regulatory bylaws and relevant Territorial Acts and maintains the animal shelter.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Completion of Grade 12.
Completion of Bylaw Enforcement Skills Level 1 (JIBC) or equivalent.
Previous experience – 3 years Law Enforcement including animal handling
Conflict Resolution Core courses (4).
Emergency First Aid including level C CPR.
Firearms Acquisition Certificate and Possession Certificate (Non Restricted) Dangerous Goods Certificates.
Advanced Legal Issue Course – deals with investigations and warrants/court orders (Thompson River University)
Transportation of Dangerous Goods
Traffic Control Training
Yukon Class 5 Driver’s License.
Required To Operate Equipment Such As:
Vehicle, all-terrain vehicle, snow-mobile and trailer, radar cart, firearms, animal trap, animal shelter equipment, photo-evidence equipment, pepper spray, catch poles, Tranquillizer Gun, computer with applications such as AS400, Power Point, Outlook, Word, and Excel, Bylaw Data Access and office equipment.
