The Bylaw Enforcement Officer I is responsible for the enforcement of the City Bylaws and performing
routine public safety work. Under the direction of the Bylaw Enforcement Officer II they are
responsible for enforcement of the City’s Bylaw’s including but not limited to the Traffic Bylaw,
Sidewalk Clearing Bylaw, Animal Control and Licensing Bylaw, and Unsightly Premises Bylaw. The
preferred candidate will possess a Bylaw Enforcement and Investigative Skills Certificate Level I,
WHIMIS certification, Occupational First Aid Level I and a valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License.
Candidates must have the ability to work varied hours as necessary to meet the requirements of the position.
