Administrative Assistant – Corporate Projects – District of Saanich – Saanich, BC

The Legislative Services Department is seeking an Administrative Assistant – Corporate Projects to join their team.  This position provides support in strategic and operation plan development and reporting, assists in the maintenance of an electronic strategic planning database, produces graphic designs, performs statistical analysis and updates web content.  The ideal candidate has proven mathematical accuracy, strong oral, visual and written communications abilities, as well as considerable knowledge in graphic design, web based practices and usability methodologies. Requirements include: Grade 12, supplemented by a one year Office Administration Certificate and advanced courses in computer based applications, including desktop publishing, word processing, spreadsheet and database software; three years recent work experience in a similar responsible administrative role, dealing with the public including two years of experience in the area of statistical reporting; accurate keyboarding speed of 45 wpm and possession of a valid Class 5 BC Driver’s Licence.  An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
