Workshop Service Engineers – Wärtsilä Canada Inc – Halifax City

We are seeking two Workshop Service Engineers for our Halifax (Burnside) location.

Primary Responsibilities

Perform workshop activities repairing and overhauling all types of engines and other components.
Complete tasks from beginning to end including incoming inspection, cleaning, evaluating, making recommendations for repair, compiling list of spare parts and estimating hours on scope of work.
Repair components as required and complete all necessary reports and pack ready for shipping.
Lead jobs, coach and train other employees as required.
Adhere to Wartsila quality, safety and environmental procedures.
Perform other duties as required.

Candidate Profile

Post-secondary training in engine overhaul and maintenance
4 years in marine or mechanical field.
Previous Wartsila UD23 and 602 experience are an asset

Reporting

Workshop Service Engineers report to the Workshop Team Leader.
